E-Baud is a feature that allows the baud/parity to be set electronically instead of opening the case and setting internal jumpers. The feature is described in detail in the manual. The WLKB232 Configuration app can do this, your host computer can send the command, or it can be entered manually using a terminal emulator program. E-Baud settings are stored in non-volatile memory so remain in effect through resets or power-cycling. | |
Model Suffix | Description |
none | This is the original device without the E-baud feature. Users needing the 'same-device' as those purchased previously can still order these parts. |
E | Model numbers ending with this suffix include the E-Baud feature. One of the possible E-baud settings causes the device to use the baud rate as defined by the internal jumpers -- so it can operate in a mode that is backward compatible with non-E units (factory default). |
